MIAMI & THE BAHAMAS

To all my family and friends who want to know what i am up to while on my travels with liefie, here we go again!! and i am off to join hubby in MIAMI.This contract is in Miami and the Bahamas so will make the most of it .Woke up on Saturday morning,the day i am leaving !!! to get the wonderful news that they had broken into our bakkie once again and thank goodness left it with just a broken door lock , so now we have to go through the same procedure as the day when i landed 2 months ago, NOT a happy chappy!!! but could have been far worse. So now instinct kicks in and all has to be arranged before i fly in 5 hours. Also decided that the bakkies railings have to come off because i am sure potential skelms are thinking that it could be helpful and a plus point to load sheep or other live stock for xmas!!!!
Then i get my flight times deurmekaar and so ampertjies was ek te laat, big plus point the airport is 5 min from the house,so the day did not start on a good note.
Flight to Londen i have ants in my pants en kriewilrig,could not settle down so arrive at Heathrow soos n spook, grys wilde perm staan in all rigtings met voete wat voel en lyk soos opgestopde russian worsies.
All goes well and i know the ropes when going through customs,finish my last drop of water en remove all my jewellery, alles in hulle deurskynende sakkies!Stap deur sonder n gepiep.
Flight to Miami was only 8 hours and i had two open seats next to me which was wonderful could sleep for most of the way with my seatbelt wrapped around me ,so looked like someone in a straight jacket ,het weer werk gekos om my weer vas the kry, elke keer as ek omdraai!But heaven with space around you.
Met an interesting lady on the plane ouerige  Spaanse vroutji, dressed to kill, funky en besig laat my dink aan die Amerikaanse fashion curru Iris Afpfel,net so weird maar organize almal, koop te lekker by duty free, sak vol perfumes ,had a cellphone holder around her neck and that got us talking very smart looks like a perfume bottle even with a lid but top brand and told me is a little expensive!!! She actually liked my wooden self-made beads and asked where i bought them, ha ha, maar die Ouma so sterk soos n bees,kan sien ou traveller te veel sakke en hande vol,maar ouma ruk  en pluk daardie tasse so tussen die isles deur dan is tas op sy rug en dan weer op sy wiele ,dan steek hy vas maar granny pluk hom los en gaan net aan, like a comedy show right infront of me!! Haar nogal geniet.
First glimpse of Miami out of the plane beautiful,green,flat,big and lots and lots of water and palmtrees, told us 35 degrees outside and rain on the way.
Did have a little scary situation after the running belt stopped at the baggage dept and my 2 suitcases were nowhere to be seen!! just thought, no please this would be disaster,other couples were also looking around and then off the belt on the other side, i saw my big suitcase peeping at me and wragtig there they were ,someone had just taken them off the conveyer belt,but needless to say i was so relieved and thankful to see them.
